You can't really compare these directly, as the Prieska plant looks like a convention oxidation ditch type installation, and is a capacity upgrade rather than a full installation. Expansion upgrades are usually cheaper than a full new plant, as you don't need to add in a new piping network and the site is usually already half prepared.


The numbers I was ball-parking that you have attached is just the Fluence component of the 20,000 m3/d plant. There are also other contractors for the piping, installation, earthworks and concrete that will push the plant up to at least $20m USD. I was also just trying to point out to James that the original contract had been downsized slightly, so that the potential PS3 component to Fluence might be sub-$10m USD.

Also, the picture you have attached of the Fluence SUBRE plant is PS2, which is 7200 m3/d. (PS1 is 5200 m3/d and is the one on the beach by the hotels). PS1 below.


You can't even really compare m3/d costs within Fluence projects, as each project varies depending on influent makeup, effluent requirements, temperature, and the type of equipment that is installed along with MABR. The major partners of Aspiral installations in Hunan Kaitian and iTEST do their installations quite differently, and Zhejiang Tiandi do theirs differently again.




Cambodia has quite a few of the Facultative lagoon type treatment plants. They are lower tech so less can go wrong and you don't need as many highly trained staff to run. Not sure how they go with constant rain and flooding.
