So as part of the events on Saturday, this official document was released outlining PS3 details plus future planning around sewage treatment.


In terms of the project, PS3 has a 22 month build time and in total will be about $20 million USD for the whole build. It will use Israeli (Fluence) MABR technology. PS3 will actually have a lab attached and staff rooms attached to it, so staff will be doing some stringent testing on-site. It will probably be a hub of sorts for wastewater staff in Sihanoukville, they can then travel out to PS1 and PS2 (and any other MABR plants) to do any required maintenance, while being based at PS3.

Take heed to the above, the minster for tourism was there, plus all the major hotel borey project owners, aka all the money men who own the development companies across Cambodia. They are being asked to view these 3 projects, and implement them into all their future development planning. All future hotel and residential developments will need to be connected to MABR based sewage treatment plants.

They want to build Sihanoukville into the tourism capital of Cambodia to compete with Thailand/Vietnam/Indonesia/Philippines, to do that they need to capture all wastewater around the city, and make sure no untreated sewage flows into the beach/ocean which is the main drawcard. All the tourism operators have to be onboard. They then want this to proliferate around the rest of Cambodia.
