"Tradelink" would make for quite the case study.
Back in 2002 they had ~300 branches across Australia. Reece had ~200.
Fast forward to today and it's almost unbelievable the difference between the two companies.
The fact of the matter is that Tradelink should offer fantastic synergy with the other FBU businesses - the distribution arm for all of their manufacturing businesses into the plumbing & civil sectors - Iplex, Crane, Stramit, Tasman Sinkware, Rocla, Laminex. But they never even preferenced them as suppliers.
