Being envious of lost riches or others' investment success is a terrible mindset imho (and a good way to lose money).
An even better way to lose money is to invest in badly run, inferior quality, undercapitalised businesses in the first instance. You seem to have a predilection for doing so.
Maybe you should consider investing on the basis of looking for growth-at-a-reasonable price instead of owning shareholder value destroying businesses.
