Polybutylene pipes are an inherently defective product. They rupture. This has been known for almost 40 years. There were class action lawsuits in the mid 1990s USA on this.
I have no sympathy for Fletcher building... blaming the builders when it is their defective product which is the root cause. I hope they compensate every last household affected by this.
