IMO it's just further vindication in choosing SL vein. It's like they said "Here guy how about chucking this on your gadget and see if anything good turns up." Guy is like "OK" then next minute "oh lookey here got some stuff first go." Such is the magic of SL vein. FGR currently having largest tenements in SL is attractive.

Setting up parameters for the TTF device and then imaging the product to get results this fast suggests they have done very little by way of optimisation, thus there could be a lot of improvements here, noting that platelet size currently is only 10micron.

Both VFD and TTF confirmed to be single step bolt on additions, with low capital cost but more importantly are SCALABLE technologies.

Then there's the green angle, the experiment was done in water. The processes do not rely on harsh chemicals, waste is minimal. The same green bent can be seen in their mining operations, its air-leg mining, they installed solar panels straight away, first mining license in SL with full environmental report.

Some interesting offshoots - What are the needle-like structures? could be an interesting development if these are indeed CNT-like, and they do talk about controlling the length and chirality, which are two determinants of the physical properties of a CNT, another being radius. I was reading about graphene nano-flakes and how these can be used to control chirality during certain chemical reactions, inversion reactions, but then this is a different subject altogether.
