CONSOLIDATED INCOME STATEMENT Current Full year NZ$'000; Up/Down %; Previous Corresponding Full year NZ$'000 Total Operating Revenue: 843,074; Up 5.8%; 796,948 OPERATING SURPLUS BEFORE TAXATION: 171,634; Down 0.2%; 172,032 Less taxation on operating profit: 48,847; Down 5.5%; 51,706 NET PROFIT AFTER TAX: 122,787; Up 2.0%; 120,326 NET PROFIT ATTRIBUTABLE TO EQUITY HOLDERS: 123,670; Up 3.0%; 120,078 Earnings per share: 31.78 cps; Up 3.0%; 30.86 cps SKY Network Television Limited ("SKY") announced today the result for the year ended 30 June 2012, being a net profit after tax of $122.8 million, a 2.0% increase from the prior year's net profit after tax of $120.3 million. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation ("EBITDA") increased by 4.5% to $336 million. SKY's total revenue increased by 5.8% to $843 million. SKY's subscriber base grew by 17,510 (2.1%) subscribers over the previous year, to a new high of 846,931. The subscriber base comprises 819,590 residential digital subscribers and 27,341 commercial and other subscribers. SKY is now in 49.4% of New Zealand homes. SKY has continued to promote its MYSKY HDi decoder and at 30 June 2012 382,495 subscribers were receiving their pay television services via a MYSKY decoder compared to 279,875 subscribers at 30 June 2011. This represents 46.7% of SKY's residential subscribers compared to 35.0% of residential subscribers at 30 June 2011. Average revenue per subscriber per month ("ARPU") increased by 2.1% to $71.93 from $70.45 last year. Annual gross churn has increased slightly to 14.2% during the 2012 year from 14.0% last year. MYSKY churn was 10.4% and churn on standard digital decoders was 17.1%. The SKY Board has declared a fully imputed final dividend of 11 cents per share.
