I reckon it's been really interesting to see a ramp in urban uptake of MABR.
From Ha Yogev in the Jezreel Valley, the USVI plant, and then our targeting of the rural wastewater treatment opportunity in China; it felt like we started off primarily aiming MABR at regional areas.
However since then we've seen contracts in Addis Ababa, Beijing, Yiyang City and now Manilla. Regional decentralisation of water treatment is obviously badly needed, but rapid urbanisation is also a massive tailwind for Aspiral. Obviously we have SUBRE for the retrofit of old-style centralised plants coming online soon, but many of our recent packaged Aspiral contracts have been in populous cities with inadequate infrastructure. They are straining under population growth and require small-footprint solutions deployed in urban areas to compliment in-situ centralised plants.
Long way to go, but what an opportunity we have here.
