Just on the side, I would like to mention the experience of not one but two of my friends on holidays in Shanghai. Both stayed in very nice hotels and both had a note in their bathroom not to flush a toilet paper down the loo....the bucket for the paper was provided....one of them commented she was not that high in the hotel (5th floor from memory?).....the comments with regarding this was, the Chinese built such a beautiful City in no time at all.....but they were in such a rush to build it, they built it on the old sewer/piping system....I wonder what next for them?...how can that be fix? Can it be fix?...or are we all going to be placing toilet paper in the baskets forever and ever whenever making a trip over there....anyone else had experience like that in any other major Chinese Cities?
