well...I travel quite a lot (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand mostly) and never ever came across any baskets for my toilet paper no matter how high I was in a hotel....and I never ever heard or saw your "most people in Asia use water and left hand" ...I believe India has such culture... and they use fingers to eat things (no utensils) and can only do so with one hand because the other is used for that specific function.....not sure about Middle Eastern communities.....
