On closer look at the photo, these look like SUBRE modules. If the Deputy PM of Cambodia is inspecting the project, it just be close to completion and commissioning. Bodes well that the Deputy PM is taking a special interest in the project.
The man at he centre is, I quote, “Chea Sophara, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction and Chairman of the National Committee for Coastal Management and Development of Cambodia (CCHR)”.
In Asia, the developer, the urban planning authority, and the water and environment agency must be in sync. Sihanoukville seems like it’s going to be a model for coastal cities.
