    Hi Dungiven, I think your assumption is quite accurate. Each time you move a completed 20 foot TEU for any distance is AUD$800 in China. The reason for that is the need to engage a crane. Imagine the crane is needed on embarkation and dis-embarkation at the end point (2 x $800). If the co-ordination is not done well with the EPC, say the site works are not completed, the container has to be unloaded at an intermediate site for storage and that will incur another AUD$800 to engage a crane, and then reloaded again (another $800) for the eventual journey to the end destination.

    By moving the final assembly closer to the EPC/SOE's premises, or closer to the eventual worksite, if we are talking about bulk orders, the transportation cost is saved by FLC if they simply move the MABR modules to the customers' assembly points. Then the onus is pushed to the SOE to assemble the complete container according to schedule and demand.
