The NationalHousing Trust (NHT) in Jamaica continues to look to MABR as a solution to serve theirnew housing developments. As @Relax1 has reported previously Jamaica iscurrently the 2nd fastest growing market for MABR technology for Fluenceoutside China (and the leading market for SUBRE), with 4 SUBRE custom designedgreenfield projects won with a total capacity of 5410 m3/d (as of Oct 2019). Fluence's work with the National Housing Trust (NHT) began with an announcement in March 2019 to supply two new housing developments in the Kingston and Spanish Town areas of Jamaica under the NHT. The first installation consisted of 12 SUBRE modules stacked three spirals high to treat up to 1400 m3/d of domestic wastewater. The second installation consisted of six SUBRE modules and to treat up to 757 m3/d. Last week a new tender announcement, this time for a 6 965 m3/d plant has beenadvertised by the NHT. The plant which will serve 519 housing units is to be constructed at The Villages of Colbeck Castle HousingDevelopment, St. Catherine. This development is the first two of a five stage plan for the NHT’s biggest project for 2020-21: comprising of a total of 1,874 housing units.
It also looks as if there is to beincreasing demand for sewage services over the next two years in St. Catherine as an estimated5,031 new housing developments are expected for the parish overthe next two years in response to increasing demand for affordable residentialunits. The developments, which will come from both private developers and stateagency the National Housing Trust (NHT), are budgeted at some $55 billion (au$670m), themajority of which are planned for the fast-growing Portmore and Spanish Town areas (where Fluence has already had plants commissioned).

This also follows on from Fluence's work with the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) and the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) to supply a sewage treatment plant for the new cruise terminal at Port Royal and the surrounding community.
