Sihanoukville Province has already established two wastewater treatment plants, which are successfully operational. The first plant has a capacity to treat 5,200 cubic meters of wastewater per day, serving the third area spanning 364 hectares in Sangkat 3. The second plant, catering to the fourth area covering 486 hectares in Sangkat 3, has a treatment capacity of 7,200 cubic meters per day.The upcoming completion of the PS3 wastewater treatment plant, standing at an impressive 98% progress, showcases the province’s dedication to environmental preservation and sustainable development. The plant, with an investment of US$20 million, commenced operations on September 17, 2021. It will play a crucial role in filtering and treating 20,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day, significantly contributing to the enhancement of the region’s ecological well-being. (Read more)
