To be clear on valuation, I'm not saying it's a waste of time.
I do model revenue, margins and balance sheet and forecast (guess) to build a valuation.
But it's really just scenario analysis, not a line in the sand valuation that could be relied on.
But the number I'll watch is revenue, including backlog, and managements discussion around that metric.
