Fluence signs innovative water recycling project
Fluence , a global leader in water and wastewater treatment solutions, recently announced the signing of a major contract in Taiwan worth over US $ 6 million. This marks Fluence's first contract in Taiwan and will provide its advanced Niroflex architecture for the Taoyuan North District Water Recycling Center reclaimed water project.
The "Taoyuan North District Water Recycling Center Recycled Water BTO Plan" is the first recycled water plant in northern Taiwan and will also become the largest recycled water "urban reservoir" project in Taiwan. The project is divided into three phases and is planned to gradually provide water supply in the second half of 2024 . The water supply scope will include well-known technology companies such as Taiwan Petroleum Corporation, Guanyin Industrial Park, and Taiwan Nanya Plastics.
The first phase is scheduled to be completed in 2025 and will provide more than 40,000 metric tons of recycled water per day. It is expected that after the completion of the entire phase, 112,000 tons of recycled water can be supplied daily to meet the diverse water resource needs of enterprises and ensure stable industrial water use.
Mr. Yang Wangzheng, President of Fluence Asia, said: "We are very pleased to be able to work with our Taiwanese partners to provide high-quality product water for the Taobei Reclaimed Water Project while reducing water waste and environmental impact. This project not only represents our Growth in Asia also demonstrates our commitment to solving water issues on a global scale."
Signed $ 2 million contract for Israeli semiconductor manufacturer
Create efficient water resources solutions
Fluence , the global leader in water treatment solutions, is proud to announce that it has signed a major contract with the Israeli semiconductor manufacturer for the design, manufacturing, part supply, on-site installation, supervision and commissioning of a daily processing 15,360 cubic meters of wastewater treatment plant. The treatment plant is designed to repurpose water to meet the product water needs of semiconductor chip manufacturers.
The project, worth more than $ 2 million, is expected to be completed in 2024 and will bring critical water solutions to Israel’s semiconductor manufacturing industry. This contract marks Fluence’s continued expansion in the field of sustainable water management and further consolidates the company’s leadership position in the global wastewater treatment market.
Fluence's high-efficiency wastewater treatment technology and expertise will ensure that the wastewater treatment plant can meet high standards of water quality requirements when operating, while providing customers with recyclable product water. The success of this project will further demonstrate Fluence’s ability to address complex water challenges and its commitment to sustainable water management.Fluence enters the Mexican market for the first time
Providing sustainable wastewater treatment and wastewater energy solutions to international fish processing companies
Fluence has successfully secured its first Mexican market industrial wastewater treatment and wastewater energy contract to provide services to an international fish processing company in Mazatlan , Mexico . This important contract marks Fluence’s strategic expansion into the Mexican market and its leadership in sustainable wastewater treatment and energy use.
A critical step to improve productivity and protect the environment
Designed specifically for the fish processing industry, the plants will employ MBR and anaerobic digestion technologies and utilize an advanced wastewater energy system to convert the plant's sludge into renewable biogas. This will allow customers to increase the production capacity of their facilities while ensuring compliance with new emission standards mandated by Mexican regulations. The biogas produced will be used to generate heat to meet the energy needs of the company's own operations, thereby lowering operating costs and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Project details
The success of this project will bring environmental and economic benefits to Mexico's fish processing industry, making a positive contribution to ecological and economic sustainability.
The first plant, with a contract value of more than $ 3 million, is scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2025 and will be able to treat up to 4,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day.
- A second plant, located at an affiliate in the same region, is expected to be operational later in 2025 , with a contract value of just under $ 2 million.
Fluence wins US$ 3 million contract to help Italy recycle whey by-products
and produce sustainable biogas
Fluence is pleased to announce that it has successfully signed a contract worth approximately US $ 3 million from an Italian-based company specializing in the recovery of protein from whey and dairy by-products and its application in livestock food production.
This major contract will involve modifications to the existing wastewater treatment plant and commissioning of systems, including anaerobic fermentation processes and processing of waste sludge and by-products to produce valuable biogas. Typically, the commercial value of whey-based by-products is relatively low, and their handling and disposal can pose some challenges. However, Fluence's advanced technology will allow the resources of these by-products to be efficiently recovered, thereby reducing waste generation and increasing resource recovery rates.
Fluence is expected to complete the deployment of this system before the end of 2024 and put it into formal operation. The implementation of this contract will help reduce environmental pollution, improve the use of sustainable resources, and provide a sustainable source of biogas for livestock food production, further consolidating Fluence's leadership position in the field of sustainable water treatment.
Fluence will continue to work hard to provide innovative water resources solutions to all walks of life to meet the needs of sustainable development and provide customers with a sustainable future. More information about the project will be announced as the project prog
https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/dGfSk69uExOZ5iWlZPLnbw. Forwarded to me. The Chinese version has additional info and nuances that I have made bold. It has included the names of the Chinese industrial companies that will be making used of this recycled water. Who knows, they could be future clients. I sure hope this is a test bed for future projects in other parts of Taiwan if FLC can prove its worth with Niroflex.
I was slightly disappointed that MABR was not specifically mentioned as that would really set FLC apart in Taiwan. But Niroflex is flexible enough to include MABR in the front end if the client needs it. Let's hope there will be a take-up of MABR with improved visibility at this coming TIWW.
