The reserves of the "lithium triangle"

c) the sustainability of the salt flats (the salt flats are dynamic natural ecosystems, so the focus is on proper management of the extraction and preservation activities).

The growing interest in satisfying the world demand for lithium and optimizing the extraction of the resource in the projects in execution and in the potential ones, accelerates the investment of the companies present in the region, such is the case of the Chinese company Ganfeng. Lithium, a shareholder of Minera Exar, which has announced that it will supply the Caucharí Olaroz project with solar energy, in a unique case globally.

Also, recently, the oil company YPF created the company YPF Litio S.A. Through which it will venture into the development of the use of this mineral for the global electrification process and in particular for its industrialization as a raw material for batteries for electric vehicles and renewable energies.
