Speaking from a financial point of view:
1. Shallow oil is cheaper and quicker to get at. Lighter drilling equipment.
2.It is worth much more than gas by volume.
3.Light oil is easier to transport/move and simpler to refine. More readily saleable than heavy which needs specialised refineries.
Could location of pools of this fast track cash flow and be v.g. on a cost/benefit basis?
