Brookside is pleased to announce that the Rocket Well has completed drilling of the surface hole with surface casing run inside the hole and cemented in place.
Surface casing is a string of steel pipe used to isolate the well from fresh groundwater and to prevent the escape or migration of gas, oil or other fluids from the well into fresh groundwater.
The surface casing has now been drilled out and drilling of the intermediate section of the Rocket Well is underway. The Rocket Well is currently at a total measured depth of 7,047 feet.
Upon completion of the drilling of the intermediate section the well will be cased, casing cemented in place, and the well will kick-off and commence drilling of the curve. All operations are continuing safely, on budget and on time.
