So, seven months on we are no closer to sealing the deal and we are paying more. No wonder the sp is tanking. I know it takes two to tango but if you don’t know how to negotiate effectively with people from different cultures, don’t go there in the first place. FML’s legal responsibility to their shareholders to get the best deal they can. Our job is to tie them down and close all loop holes. This is the skill of the negotiator, if we don’t have those skills we should buy them in. Perversely, the fact that they received a better offer shows the value of gold assets in the current market. On this basis we should be rated higher for our own holdings. Frustrating.
