Here is a little chart I found.
The green line is what we have all been thinking was happening regarding scientific progress.
The blue line is reality - a slower start and then pow - it all comes together.
The red line is what happens as people work it out.
I reckon we are somewhere between 6 & 8 and 2019 puts us in the 7 to 10 area.
If the area between the blue line and the red line gets too big - takeover.
