AK65s original point was that at least Merck would know about what PYC are up to - I agree but if they ever get really interested I think the conflict would be too great.
Maybe if it’s just a little research deal interest you could ‘sit out’ but imagine a world where they want to buy PYC - the director would be massively conflicted both ways - as an employee and then as a director. I’m not sure you can just ‘sit that one out’ as the questions about what was known and said leading up to it would be too great. It is nice having the international interest but we already get that from the scientific advisory board. As a friend of a friend says - give me a commercial Board for commercial decisions and management and a scientific advisory board for the science/technology.
