Agree @Rampaul, any WLA acquisition will probably be delayed until the WL SAR has been lodged and approved for the full licence. NS mentioned in the FY24 release and again in the FY25 guidance that the SAR will be lodged in August. So I expect that will be our next piece of 'feel good' news. How long the approval process will take is unknown. NS got his timing wrong with the provisional approval which came in 3-4 mths after his 'will definitely have it before EOY 2023'. That's not a jibe, just an indication of how it's likely to pan out in Indian Gov't circles (heck - probably be worse here, or worse go through all this and then have a greenie Minister can the whole project - e.g RRL?!?).
But we have a whole lot more to expect, I believe, over the next few months based on NS comments in the above preso's...
At 4:10 of the FY24 release he mentioned "...we're in the final stages of tendering for a significant contract at the moment with last weekend (being 3-4 weeks ago now - my add) tender documents going in and we're expecting results to be within the next month …". NS mentioned that he was confident of achieving 1K - 2.5K of the K pipeline. It wasn't clear whether the 'significant K' related to the pipeline of opps, or a different opportunity altogether.
Then at 8:03 NS mentions that "...we're very advanced in partnership discussions with some of the banks that we do ATM services for and what that will mean for us is we'll go from having seven key products that we currently sell through that Network to having an additional 35 products that we sell through that Network taking our product portfolio to 42 products and most importantly with that partnership there will also be guaranteed minimum revenues that come from that partnership per location that we roll out, so that's an very exciting position for us to be in and I hope to be announcing more about that in the coming month …" Again, this will be a process that will benefit us more in FY26 onwards than the FY25 yr., but again, we should be hearing about this fairly soon. Then at 11:29 NS mentions... "we also have a number of Acquisitions that are highly Advanced those Acquisitions will add somewhere between 5 and 10,000 ATMs conservatively by the end of this financial year when we have those fully signed we'll announce details on that …". My take on these acquisitions is that they relate to gaining the full WL licence, so we probably won't hear about them until after the SAR is lodged and approval obtained. But, the encouraging point here is that they are ready to hit the road running once approval is obtained.
At 10:21 he also discusses the interchange fee upgrade and mentions that just a 2 rupee increment, on an annualized basis, will add $10m to the bottom line. He expects some news on this during this FY, but didn't put an expected date to it.
So, still plenty of news in what is likely to be a transformational year for the coy.
And judging by the movement in SP today, maybe some of this news is imminent...??
