Yeah, it reduces tax, but the money doesn’t flow to SD, it stays with fml the company.
No it doesn't! FML can spray out the quantity of $ at the timing they want which just so luckily always aligns with SD's needs.
And us the poor long suffering riff-raff get proportionately what ever our holding percentage is, at the same time as SD. and post tax.
All put another way - current shareholders are riding on SD's coat tails. It is what it is and if sanity prevails it should work out well for all.
