Hi BW,
To my eyes and having seen (photos) of many a drill core.. I would go along with what they have reported.
I think they would have said so if an inkling of gold.
However from the naked eye and (of an inexperienced geologist- I am just a 'rock picker 'upper' ) looks good ... but IMHO not gold I (pardon the description) blew up the photo and could still not determine exactly. I think gold have a more 'deep golden glow' - especially if severed in some way by a drill bit.

(been wrong before) so don't take my conclusion as gospel.
Keep safe all IVR'ers and keep up the positives.
