I do not believe that it was stated anywhere that Elcanco took back any mpl.
From memory PAA needed to manufacture its own mpl and tablets for human trials and the mpl couldn't be manufactured in Australia due to TGA regulations.
At the time that Elcanco declined to take up the option, they were going through a restructure but had also taken up partnership with another company who had trialled over 100 dogs against PAA having only trialled 7 dogs.
As far as I know Elcanco still holds the rights to mpl for animals
I do not believe that it was stated anywhere that Elcanco took...
