One other important factor in these two court 'wins' (not just today's) is that it provides a psychological boost for management and even some staff at BGA. In saying this, I'm assuming that today's decision is not appealed by what seems to be the very litigious Fonterra Brands.

Hubris developing would be unwise, but conversely, two court losses would have put the cat among the pigeons and called into question the wisdom of expansion for BGA.

It's been a month of positivity for BGA with publicity in News Ltd papers/online being extremely valuable about BGA taking over previously Japanese-owned brands at Lion (and more to the point, a mainland Chinese dairy being proscribed from grabbing that portfolio).

But there's still many shoppers who would not know (and many who do not care) about which entity owns which brand. That's where social media comes in.
