    If the NZ Govt has to ever bail out Fonterra, we’re all in a lot of trouble. Management looks pretty solid to me.

    I am not sure what the best Armageddon strategy is. Certainly the Covid years made us realise strange things can happen.

    I am a big fan of gold. To me it is a pretty good hedge. Many will disagree.
    I agree - we would all be in big trouble if the NZ govt had to bail out Fonterra! If you're after very safe investments you probably shouldn't be looking at shares. Gold is safe, but long term it actually loses ground to pretty much everything else. Land is safe. Or ETF's - like an ETF linked to the S&P.
