Buying back stock will increase the NTA. It follows that the share price should rise by a similar amount as well. However, I can't see why the share price should rise by a greater amount in order to reduce the discount. I suppose there could be a psychological affect, but I would expect this to be be short term. Besides, I would expect Steve's answer to be that there are other shares to buy that are trading at a greater discount to their true 'value' than FOR is to its NTA.
