I imagine long term investors would be drawn to stock like this. One of the many doomsday scenarios about our Planet Dust in addition to Peak Oil is the concept of Peak Phosphorous. Excluding guano which takes forever to accumulate it's basically a non renewable resource and not so common in mineable quantities. It is also essential to the growth of all organisms including plants. As an element it can't be manufactured and has no substitutes. Every year it's taken up globally by plants, eaten by humans and livestock and then literally p1ssed away into the ocean from where it's non-recoverable. MIT and the Smithsonian Institute predict via a study commissioned from a very clever Aussie professor that global resources enter the SHTF moment in 2030. Long before that we'll have issues with phosphate supply especially as oil price/supply fluctuates.
