re: Ann: Form 604 and Institutional Acceptanc... From reading Form 604, RIO has increased its RIV holding from acceptances received since the offer opened on 10 Jan and apart from the pre-bid agreements by 2,379,753 only.
This number is extra-ordinarily low and represents the slow response from instos and the retail holders to the RIO offer.
My guess is RIO will have to increase their offer price to get this t/o over the line and convince Tata and CSN to sell it some of their shares.
RIO must report any 1% change in its RIV holding to the ASX during the t/o period.
