Thanks jameslv23 and moneytalks2 for your response. It is a slow news week although I wouldn't discount RIO's announcement that they have only captured 15.97% to date or an extra 1% since the pre-bid agreements were announced. There is a lot happening behind the scenes. CSN upping its stake to 19.9% is another story worth looking at in greater detail.
I too will be disappointed to sell at $16 but the mortgage must come down and this sale will certainly help.
If RIO's offer falls through, the share price may fall to $12 and that to me would be a chance to buy back in.
Perhaps a BHP will offer at a later stage? BHP said they were after tier one assets of which RIV certainly.
RIV is a great company and one of the best performers in 2010. Worth holding onto IMO.
