Interesting to note that James Dougherty (ex- Macquarie) from Lennox Capital says they own both ABB and SLC and will continue to hold. Although its a bit of a mess he seems to think its not over yet and there are definite synergies for a merger. He did say that he was disappointed with the ABB offer price and that it undervalued SLC. I pay some heed to James views - IMO he gives good advice about markets and the macro financial environment - nothing flamboyant just good common sense.
