It was a nice gesture for you offer to offer to make a charitable donation. Thank you.
Trouble is, I don't believe in supporting institutional charity because I have seen too much evidence of institutional "leakage" in the form of bloated administration overheads, waste and other inefficiencies.
Because of this my family several years ago opted to make direct contributions to people that we know personally who are in need of help. That way we can control the spending and also see the the results first-hand.
If you feel you want to "pay it forward", as it were, perhaps you personally know of people in circumstances of destitution, and you can direct your contribution to them.
If not, I can provide you the bank account details of a single mother living in impoverished conditions in an African village, who depends on the kindness of others to support her extended family.
