I would divide the TOTAL COST paid for AWC shares by the NUMBER OF AAI shares obtained, so I get what I paid for each AAI share.
The question I have is what happens to the brokerage costs, for tax reasons:
a-Should brokerage costs be included in the COST when dividing, and then have the AAI shares batch set ZERO brokerage fee
b-Should brokerage costs NOT be included in the COST when dividing, and then have the AAI shares batch have the whole lot of brokerage fees paid when buying AWC
Could anyone please clarify?
