Plcent, it's just a way of thinking, if your stock goes up most days, you can sell it if you think it's getting a bit pricey. But if you have an illiquid spec that doesn't trade much, and the market gets hit, and the spec stops trading, then you are stuck like with this dog. Also with a prospective stock like Bellevue, if you want to, you can quit it with not too much of a clip. It's a trade-off of security, for a gamble on leverage. Often the quick-buck mentality reduces your options. If a stock has no earnings, it's hard to value.
The killer with this dog was that management was profiting from using two strategies to purposely drive the stock lower. Firstly issuing stock on and off the market at ever lower prices., and secondly creating vastly more stock, then murdering shareholder equity with huge consolidations.
Here management was working directly opposite to their existing shareholder's interests.
They jumped into the cesspit, now let's see how they go getting out of it.
