I was an intensely interested follower of an Aus company Eden Resources asx:EDE, whose original focus was commercialising CSIRO research on CO2-emission free production of hydrogen gas from natural gas, in a self contained energy process ( Normally splitting methane gives hydrogen and CO2, deemed to be environmentally unsound )
Using a cheap iron ore catalyst they got solid powder carbon rather than CO2, plus clean H2 which they did/still do try and commercialise.
This powder was found to be carbon nanotubes, and EDE bet the farm on using this to dramatically strengthen concrete, a potentially huge market, putting the hydrogen gas now-byproduct in limbo.

Regretably the Eden-crete carbon additive struck a few problems in actual use, and I had to stop loss out from EDE shareholding long ago.

BUT the technology for large scale H2 gas direct from natural gas is proven, producing no CO2 emissions (unlike burning the natural gas itself as fuel ), and does not use expensive green energy.
( and produces a carbon nanotube byproduct which may one day revolutionise all concrete construction worldwide...but that is another story )
