There is a lot of misinformation around on the topics you mention.

Let’s start with emissions. Total carbon emissions in the manufacture of a typical EV is around 5.6t of CO2, vs 4t for a standard car. Sounds like a fair bit extra, but standard cars emits around 180g/km - so travelling 15,000km/yr results in emissions of 2.7t CO2 per year. Clearly the emissions over the 15-20 years of use far outweigh the emissions from initial manufacture.

Secondly, what makes you think there’s not enough Lithium in the ground to support the battery industry? All the credible articles I’ve seen show that there’s plenty available for the current century, and likely much more. And that’s not considering:
- Recycling of lithium ion batteries
- The limited amount of exploration of lithium deposits conducted to date.
