FMG may just be one of those stocks that you buy for dividend/yield.
Or it may take more time for them to convince the market that they are worth more for the SP to rise.
When the world changed post GFC and when the IO price got smashed, investors and institutions are far more cautious now. True FMG are riding a wave now, but people are scared to invest in a company whose fate is tied to a bulk commodity driven by supply and demand.
Their strategy for debt repayment is sound. In the event the IO price stabilises around US$80t that should see them increase market cap. What we have witnessed is that investors will sell out in a blink if they think the IO price will tank. So that makes FMG's exposer great, for better or for worse.
The FMG think tanks will have their minds set to investing in long term sustainable income producing assets, not associated with bulk commodities.
