The USA have a strategic reserve of oil in case of war.
You would think the Chinese might consider their IO industry as a strategic necessity in case of war?
Imo, this is one of the things RIO and BHP management failed to take into account when they tried to run the high cost Chinese IO industry out of business.
Very costly mistake for their shareholders!
