Did you fellas see the interview with CEO Dino where he mentioned fully recharging the batteries per truck took only a mind-boggling 18 minutes! He further revealed that Fortescue's R&D laboratory in Perth was getting close to further reducing fully recharging to a matter of seconds! This would obviously assist in resolving the problem, jb, you were concerned about.
We also now have a Europa hydrogen haul truck undertaking trials on site. jb, in today's announcement Fortescue will be purchasing 360 ev Roadrunner haul trucks, 55 electric excavators and 60 battery powered dozers.Mate, it was was also announced that this represents replacing two thirds of the equipment being replaced.
That leaves one third of equipment to be replaced, so jb, it may be that your interest in hydrogen may yet be vindicated. There may well be an advantage to having diversified hydrogen fueled, electric and battery powered equipment
