That map in the last post - pretty good and shows all the world-class mines and deposits in the vicinity of MAG.

Map below shows most of those mines/deposits, but also shows the FMG grounds and how they surround MAG's Myall (Myall being the jewel in FMG's crown in this area that they were after).

Also shows Anglo Gold moving in next to MAG's Myall, and Newmont (biggest gold miner in the world) also pegging ground next to MAG's Parkes project to the south of Myall/next to ALK's Tomingley mining area)).








Also, below maps show FMG's expansion in the area (as well as other late-comer Majors pegging ground).

FMG had nothing next to Myall, then pegged everything they could surrounding Myall, and then did a deal with Sandfire to take their grounds next to Myall too.
