It's pretty simple. The number of shares are irrelevant to anything other than calculating market cap.
So, the question is - did you value the company at a MC of $1.6bil or $800m?
Now anyone with half a brain and more than 5k to invest would be looking at the $1.6b number. The companies value did not half overnight because the shares are suddenly available. They have always been there, therefore always allowed for in that calculation.
Now talking about the effect on the sp is only relevant in the context of whether Charlie wants to dump them on market. So what are the odds he dumps those shares on his own company? Do I need to give you a clue?
