The Hubris of one big win on the stock market old man is not lost on me sometimes your up sometimes your down but I'm glad your doing well better to both be up than both down lol and if you'd done nothing and held the graphite/battery tech co you'd be minted from doing nothing but sitting on your hands so you can't win them all. Showing you I'd had a decent return 5 years back maybe convinced you to come back in to the stock market after you'd sworn off it and look at you now, high roller!
@GT55 I'm always reticent to say it's come off when we don't know the results for MAY we are up 300% and it's looking promising but I had to message and email Feral about 10 times after the upper sheet play results kept coming in for him to come anywhere near an oil play luckily he got in before it launched myself I do have to say longreach was invested in another stock and was curious what else he thought we're good speculative investments. It is good to bounce ideas off someone or get a second opinion even if after I ask him I wished I'd never asked or cop a verbal backlash from thinking about selling some and covering my downside which I've had several so far.
I haven't gone in half heartedly either got 9.7m to your 18m when you factor in the size of my portfolios my percentage in is a lot greater lol. Not that I'm happy about that I'm hoping MAY does at least 50 cents and I can take 5 or 6 other plays I'm confident in and retire from mining. However if they have found billion barrel fields selling prematurely would be unwise as well not to mention CGT!
Money begets money if you have it and know where to invest it and there are definitely opportunities I feel with how fast the world is changing if you can predict the next in commodity, society trends, new tech a year or two ahead of the market. Likewise if you can
act quickly when something changes such as Covid there was a +30% to be made if your sold out early when Covid hit and then bought back in. Unfortunately while when it first hit I did think this could drive the market down it went backwards a few percent on China then you think I shouldn't sell but in actual fact once it spread to USA markets were in free fall so yep everyone is a legend in retrospect. Definitely always more you can learn about investing which makes it exciting.
