Why take his quote out of context, he is not saying shareholders need to swallow their pride at all. He is saying the directors of the company need to swallow their pride in the best interest of shareholders and step aside and get someone on board who has the necessary skills to drive the business forward.
It's quite clear from the extended period of suspension they have grossly underestimated the complexity of re-compliance activities.
