I don’t know how strong their claim is but they are registered claimants. I believe a determination is yet to be made. The sites won’t be temples or anything we might consider to be significant but that is irrelevant. Even as claimants it appears the EPA has told APC to work with them. My guess is a NT determination would give the Waturta more power and had it existed earlier a deal would be in place. Read the EPA condition #9 and decide for yourself if the Waturta, by dragging their feet, could make life difficult for APC. SO4 has an agreement with the locals. You should check if they are claimants or hold native title.
