The news around China selling spot cargo is bit of a bummer - unusual and possibly way to dampen the market. Who knows..... but keep an eye out on forward pricing

But considering 83% of the volume is sold on contract against Oil prices, it shouldn't matter much -

China selling spot cargo is just the global market satisfying strong demand

prices still remain high

All the SPR releases will have to at least be partially repurchased in coming months, so the impact (if any) is temporary
