njdesert, hard to research - the Sanchez presentation I mentioned in an earlier post gives a bit of an idea as to EURs etc, the older MAD presentations also show nearby EURs however they are over 2 years old without modern improvements FDM claim to be in the order of 30%. Newfield (now EF assets owned by Protege) didn't mention any EF drilling in their presentations, Protege is a private company, doesn't make public their results. Andarko & Chesapeak are both very large companies & don't tend to mention individual well results. The area sanchez describes as "Maverick" is closest to our acreage, however it covers a big area, hard to know which is nearby. Their Catarina is further south in the more gaseous part, Sanchez provide a lot of information on their drilling there especially if you read some of the conference call transcripts http://www.conferencecalltranscripts.org/?co=SN

dgb, the old rigs MAD had were barely capable of drilling shallow straight wells, modern rigs such as what they have contracted can drill horizontally at all times being within about 2 meters of their target - chalk & cheese.

Interesting they say they have 300-450 drilling locations on only 8000 acres, last we heard they were talking 400 wells on 13,000 acres. They are also conservative on their costs, Sanchez are drilling their nearby wells for under $3m each. Also drilling next to an offset operator further reduces risk.
