The question is more though price appreciation to what level? (12c anyone? 36c anyone? >$1 ... and all those targets would be from last 12 months wouldn't they? sorry not checked).
If your trading machine uses a furnace based algorithm, then all previous price points are shall we say "extinguished" and the burning desire to make money is fuel only by today's price. It's so easy. Every day is price appreciation day.
