Not sure what this mob is on about with the Frugl app

I can get a weekly email from Coles and Woolworths detailing such items as the following:

    1. Catalogues and Specials

    2. All ingredients data listed on the packaging

    3. Fresh and easy recipes. Dinner ideas

    4. Health and Beauty magazine

    5. You Tube Channel

    6. Shopping made easy with Coles or Woolworths app

    7. Allergen details

    8. Liquor outlets and pricing

    9. People who viewed this also viewed

10 People who bought also bought

    11. Woolworths Fresh Magazine

    12. Home delivery details

    13. Rewards offers

    14. Product recalls

    15. Scams

    16. Returning policy

    17. Seasonal and special occasion recipes

    18. Exclusive offers and services

    19. Petrol offers

    20. Gift cards

    21. Jamie Oliver easy to cook range

    22. In season receipes

    etc, etc, etc.......

The so called add ons that Frugl is taking about is a minority market. Most people are convenience shoppers. They want the specials and to get in and out of a store asap.

You can go into the Coles and Woolworths sites on line, get the specials with all ingredient details, plan your shop, hit the store and get in and out pronto.

Apps such as the Wiselist app currently gives you comparative pricing if required along with other add on services

Not sure how Frugl is going to make money from this imaging app.

Just seems like another "idea" this management has come up with, without considering the commercial viability. It will be free app applying to a limited audience and the data collected will be limited commercial value.

Imagine the data that these food mega giants already have access

If this makes money, I will take off from Sydney harbour with an outboard motor strapped to my back and circle Australia singing Yankee Doodle.
